Everyday Should Be Earth Day

What is Earth Day?

Earth day began in 1970 in the United States as a day marked to emphasize the need to protect the planet and encourage people to be more environmentally friendly. It is now globally recognized and celebrated. It’s a day set aside for various people to perform eco-friendly deeds all in the efforts to protect the environment.

In my opinion, everyday should be earth day. I don’t necessarily mean that we need to hold parades every day to commemorate the earth, but we should be intentional about taking care of it every day through our ecofriendly deeds. It should be a top-of-mind priority as a human race.

The Earth’s Climate is Changing Daily

The earth is changing, that’s for sure. Climates are rising, arctic glaciers melting, forest fires becoming more frequent, animal species going extinct, climate change is resulting in worse degrees of famine, sicknesses and a bevy of many other awful things. We can’t overlook the harm that is being done to our Earth, right before our very eyes. Nonetheless by us, we are the perpetrators of this evil.

 We only inhabit one planet in the entire universe currently, and we need to be conscious of keeping it safe. For our own good.

Going Paperless Saves Trees and Forests Absorb CO2 – Reducing Climate Changes On Earth

It might not be the only thing that needs to be done to reverse the effects of climate change & global warming- as there are slew of activities we need to engage ourselves in all in the bid to reduce our carbon footprint(many of which I’ve written about in this paperless blog”. However, it is one step in the right direction to make a huge difference(millions of eco-valuable trees are cut down every day to meet our exorbitant insatiable paper needs)

I genuinely value working in a company like Signtech, and I’m not saying that just for the sake of saying it. I know that here we genuinely care about this Earth, and raising awareness towards a greener, happier tomorrow.

You should care too.

Yes, you reading this. When last have you stopped to consider the way in which your life is contributing towards the degradation of the very place you call home? And, I don’t blame you either if you don’t think about it enough. It’s not easy to not conform to a generally eco-insensitive society. I get it wrong sometimes, with my way of life. I am not claiming to be perfect. I am not claiming to never leave the shower on for too long, or to always use recyclable perfects. I am not perfect, and honestly, no one really can be.

But we can.. should try. Make an effort.

Don’t just turn a blind eye to what’s happening right now. Be the change you want to see.
